HYBRID COMMUNITY EVENT

Our 125th festivities continue! Please gather with Iliffians all around the world via livestream on Wednesday, September 13, 11:00-Noon (MST). Join us in the library portico on campus or on your cell phone, laptop, or other electronic device, as we collectively annotate and discern what is useful in a text created by Iliff founder Henry White Warren and Hebrew Bible professor Lindsay Longacre (1910-1932 on faculty). We will be using http://www.hypothes.is.

For more information, visit our 125th Anniversary website here.
OPEN HOUSE

Join Dr. Boyung Lee on September 20th from 11:45am-1:15pm. Dr. Lee is hosting her first Open House as Iliff's Academic Dean. When you meet her, ask her about her latest thoughts on interculturality. Try to make an appointment to walk a mile or eight with her. Ask her about baseball stats. Request information about all of the must see sites of the San Francisco and Berkley Bay area. Ask her about her new vision for a groundbreaking Iliff curriculum.

While you're chatting with her, light refreshments will be served.

October 11th - Opening Convocation and Golden Reunion
Iliff’s historic Opening Convocation will now take place during Gathering Days on Oct 11, 2017 at NOON. Highlights include an academic ritual meal and academic procession with Golden Reunion alumni. Join us at Iliff or via livestream, as we transform our residential legacy into the hybrid era.

Help Us Welcome New Students via #HeyIliff
Alumni Board member Beth Chronister has issued an invitation to welcome new students to Iliff during their orientation on September 8th. Alumni from near and far can easily say yes to this invitation because the welcome will take place via Twitter and Facebook.

Reminders will be posted on Iliff's Facebook Page and the Alumni Group Facebook page as we get closer to September 8th.

Here is Beth's invitation:

Remember that first day of arriving to Iliff to begin your course work there? I personally remember this day as being full of excitement, nervousness, and an eagerness to either dive in or run for the hills. I met people on that day whom I still consider friends and beloved colleagues. What do you remember from that first orientation and convocation day?

Each year, a new group of students begins their Iliff journey. What words of wisdom or encouragement would you share with them? In preparation of their arrival, what blessings would you bestow upon the 2017/18 entering class?

Please write words to be shared with the newest members of the Iliff community upon their arrival this September! Your reflections will be shared as part of welcoming them into the space during their orientation day.

Thank you for continuing the legacy of this community wherever life finds you.

in gratitude,
Rev. Beth Chronister, MDiv 2014

#WhyIliffiansGive

"I give because of my worldview. God is constantly giving. God is constantly sharing what is not my own and being gracious to me. So I think it is important to be gracious to others. Graciousness is in the DNA of the universe. I give because of what it means to exist in a world where everything is dependent on each other."

Anthony Roberts (Joint PhD Student)

Please, let us know the reasons you give to any person or cause or for any reason at all. Email cwarejoseph@iliff.edu or use #WhyIliffiansGive in a tweet to @iliffontheroad.
