Chloe Raven  became the first winner for her freshman sire
WINSLOW HOMER  with a romp at first asking and winning by 4 1/2 furlongs July 1 at  Louisiana Downs

The 2-year-old filly broke sharply in an $18,000 maiden special weight for her division, and was much the best while in hand throughout under jockey Jorge Guzman. She posted fractons of :23.43 and :46.94 en route to a final time of :53.67 on a sloppy, sealed track, and returned $3.60, $2.80, and $2.20 as the favorite in a field of six.

Chloe Raven is trained by Johnson, who picked her up for $22,000 at the Ocala Breeders' Sales April 2017 spring sale of 2-year-olds in training sale.

Winslow Homer, a 10-year-old son of Unbridled's Song, won the 2010 Holy Bull Stakes (G3) at Gulfstream Park and later romped in the Curlin Stakes at Saratoga Race Course for Fox Hill Farm and trainer Chad Brown.

He stands at Brent and Crystal Fernung's  Journeyman Stud  near Ocala, Fla., where his 2017 fee was $2,500 stands and nurses.
