August 2017

Volunteer of the Month

Myra Baker
This month, Myra Baker has been chosen as the volunteer of the month for August. Myra serves at the front desk reception area on Mondays and Thursdays and has also volunteered in childcare in our Transitional Shelter. Myra started volunteering in September of 2016 after being introduced to us by her daughter Autumn who serves as the fiscal officer for Contact Ministries. Myra says she enjoys meeting and helping the people of the community and getting hugs from the children she has cared for in the shelter.
Thank you Myra for all of your hours of service at Contact Ministries.

THIS SUMMER AT CONTACT...

At Contact Ministries one of our core values is that we can accomplish more together than working independently. This summer we partnered with five different churches and one youth camp. Their students came and
 taught bible l
essons, played games, did crafts, and simply loved our kids that live here at Contact Ministries Transitional Shelter.
Those partners are:
Cherry Hills
Hope Church
Real Life Church
Westside Christian  Church and
Petersburg Youth Service Camp.

Thank you .........

Thank you Rochester First Baptist Church for your generous donation from your
VBS that was held in July.

This donation will be used
by the women and children living in our shelters.
