Monthly Happy Hour
August Happy Hour
Thursday, August 17th
5:30 - 8:00pm

@ Raduno
Midtown
Billiards

Last September, we had a great idea for a Happy Hour.  We were going to pair up 2 great venues on South Main in the SoMa district: Raduno and Midtown Billiards.  The plan was to start off at Raduno at 5:30pm and enjoy craft beers, great wine, and creative cocktails.  Then, just before 7pm, we'd head next door to play "bottle toss" at the legendary dive bar, Midtown Billiards.

Then 3 days before our happy hour, this happened:

Midtown suffered extensive damage, but after months of repair work, they're back open and managed to quickly recreate the original ambiance - graffiti and all.  We're very excited to finally have this long-awaited happy hour at a Little Rock institution!

So join us on Thursday, August 17th, 5:30pm at Raduno for happy hour specials, then we'll wander next door to  Midtown  around 7pm for Bottle Toss!

Not familiar with bottle toss? Well, it's pretty much like it sounds - an organized competition where you toss an empty beer bottle into a trash can.  The goal, as you might expect, is to make the bottle into the trash can.  Last person standing who hasn't made it in buys a round of beer for everyone else who played.  (Don't worry, you don't have to play; just watch the fun!) Once done, stick around for one of their famous burgers.

Date:

PopUp in the Rock

PopUp in the Rock 2017:
PopUp Argenta

Next Event Date:
Fri, Aug 18, 5:30-8pm

This year's PopUp project is like none we've done before - instead of lasting for a day or weekend, it will last for 2 months! We've converted a parking lot  into a community space with a stage, seating, shade structures, and space for vendors.  It's located in North Little Rock's downtown Argenta neighborhood between 4th Street and the Argenta Branch Library.

Our big reveal took place on July 21st during the monthly Argenta Art Walk, and we'll once again be setting up for this month's Art Walk on August 18th.  We'll feature more live performances on the stage, food trucks, a dog pool, Etsy vendors, and artists!

This space will remain open for public use for 21 more month after the August Art Walk and will wrap up after the September 3rd Argenta Art Walk.

About PopUp in the Rock:
PopUp in the Rock is an annual joint project between Create Little Rock and  studioMAIN , a nonprofit design collective.  It is part of a national movement known as the  Better Block Project
. It isn't a street fair or a block party; rather, it's a temporary urban demonstration - a live rendering - of what is possible. It exhibits important elements of the city, such as multiple transportation options and an active street edge, and provides activities that create community. This group of young professionals engages with community members to determine specific needs and institute changes such as bike lanes, pop-up shops, dining pop-ups, and entertainment.  By transforming just a few blocks into a thriving, complete locale, PopUp in the Rock exemplifies the idea that developing potential, even block-by-block, can make our city better.
