Recording Available: Joint Webinar on College Mental Health
NAMI and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) co-hosted a webinar sponsored by SAMHSA on July 18 that highlighted important information in NAMI's college guide,
Starting the Conversation: College and Your Mental Health,
including students' health privacy rights. The webinar showcased the NCAA's best practices for safegaurding the mental health and wellbeing of student-athletes through the Sport Science Institute.
Here is a link to the webinar:
NAMI is very pleased with the partnership we are forming with the NCAA and their ongoing interest in mental health. T
his offers a tremendous opportunity to secure a much broader focus on mental health and mental illness among college students, athletic directors, coaches, families and the whole campus community.
