AccessDNR Mobile & Apple Watch App Opening the Door to the Great Outdoors
The wildly popular, award winning mobile and Apple Watch AccessDNR application provides on-the-go Marylander's with access to parks, trails, water access points, boat launch sites and more.
Governor Larry Hogan had the opportunity to explore the robust features of the application at the recent Maryland Municipal League conference.
"Our mobile app is a great way to connect with our state's precious natural resources through a mobile device," said Maryland Natural Resources Secretary Mark Belton. "The interactive app provides up-to-date information, news and resources for anglers, hunters, state park visitors and more. We're pleased that more than 55,000 citizens are actively using our app and partnering with us to enhance and improve our services."
Developed for outdoor enthusiasts, the app includes a NearMe locator and detailed driving directions to Maryland state parks and waterways along with many other resources for hunters, anglers and boaters. The AccessDNR app increases public awareness of DNR administered programs including park reservations and day use, trails, game check-in and mobile licensing and renewals. The AccessDNR app is available for download in the iTunes app stores for Apple devices.
