Latest Fish Catch
It's been a busy past few weeks of openings and closings in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Jersey.  Most recently, Rhode Island closed their Wild Striped Bass and Black Sea Bass seasons.  We will now be bringing in fish from Massachusetts areas such as Nantucket Sound and Cape Cod.  Wild Striped Bass fishing has brought us giant fish, however, catch has been slow and availability is limited.  Black Sea Bass may also experience a tightening in the market as well.  Please keep in mind excellent options such as Hybrid Striped Bass, Stone Bass from Greece and Hidden Palms Barramundi.  Massachusetts also hit it's Fluke quota of 385,988 lbs.  Rhode Island currently has a strict Fluke quota and availability will be decreased. We'll be sourcing what Fluke we can from southern fishermen.  Fluke fans can always enjoy fellow flatfish options such as Prodemar Dover Sole, which has a deliciously delicate flake and consistant availability or other local classics including Porgies, Cod, Spanish Mackerel and Haddock.

Up Next from Alaska
Wild Alaska Coho Salmon are swimming from Alaska waters and straight to Samuels.  Also known as "Silver Salmon," Wild Alaska Coho Salmon is in season and will be available this week.  Coho's have a exceptional, firm texture and mildly gamey flavor.  Wild Alaska King and Copper River Salmon are also still in season as well.

Best of Philly Honors

It's a pleasure to serve all of you; thank you for your passion and your hard work! It's inspiring and heartwarming to be a part of your business and to watch you grow and succeed.

Keep Your Eyes Open
We're still awaiting the first landings of Grand Banks Swordfish, due to hit our docks anyday now.  Speaking of famous fishing areas, waters off Georges Banks are providing us all U/12 Sea Scallops in a limited fishing area that's open until mid August.
