Out of the Orphanage, Into University: An Important Video Message about our Nepal Girls' Scholarship Fund
Out of the Orphanage, Into University:
An Important Video Message about our Nepal Girls' Scholarship Fund
Is it time for you to join our partnership with Nepal?

Please take a moment to watch the video above and learn more about the importance of our Nepal Girls' Scholarship Fund.  Hear about the recent successes of scholarship recipients as they move from their long-term orphanage into their new apartment, and will soon be applying for University!

The United Nations has estimated that 3 million children in Nepal under the age of 5 are at risk of death or disease this winter. It is a humanitarian crisis that is getting little global attention at this time. Since 2013 Platt Park Church, in partnership with Etka Church in Nepal and Serve Life International has been learning from the church in Nepal and serving to support the development goals they have for their community. Multiple trips have been taken,  conferences held, sewing business projects supported and an orphanage and youth program started. The people of Nepal have deeply impacted the lives of people at Platt Park Church and we truly feel we are receiving more than we are giving through this partnership. The faith, hope and love in which our Nepalese friends live despite extremely difficult circumstances gives us a renewed hope and challenge in our own lives of faith.

If you want to grow with God and enlarge your heart, we ask that you please consider joining our partnership with Nepal.

Stories from Israel   Join us on Sunday, July 30th, at 12pm as Tim Grade and other members from the Israel Trip Team share pictures and stories from their journey! Hear about what they saw, heard, and learned as they reflect on their visits to Golgatha, the Via Dolorosa, the Sea of Galilee, Qumran (the site of Dead Sea Scrolls!), and other remarkable places while walking in the footsteps of Jesus! (Lunch will be provided.)

Baptism   We will be having baptisms on Sunday, August 20th. Baptism is an acknowledgement that Jesus didn't just die for us a long time ago and then leave us to fend for ourselves. He invited us then and now to follow him, to die to our old selves and our former ways of living and being. Our immersion in the baptism waters is a picture of our dying with Christ in his death, and our emerging from the water represents our being raised to new life. I f you or your child are interested in being baptized, or if you'd like more information, please email Tim at [email protected].

Just Worship   Join us on the evening of August 2nd, from 6:30pm - 7:30pm, as we gather together and "Just Worship". Forget yourself, your circumstances, your problems, and just focus on God for an hour. Come, relax, rest, sing, BE in the presence of God as "He inhabits the praises of His people." (Psalm 22:3) (Childcare provided for infants and children 0-5 years old.)

Groups Banner
NEW SUMMER GROUPS ARE HERE!

Small groups are one important way to grow deeper in relationships with God and with one another. We learn to know Christ more and how to follow him in word and deed in the context of community. Joining a small group is such a vital and easy way to get to know others in the church, establish friendships and grow in Christ in a more relaxed setting. Sometimes participating in a group can help you determine if joining a church in Denver is for you.
