Dr. Jack's Healthy Pet Gazette:
Don't Wait for a Tragedy to Consider Pet Insurance

Every month, Pets In Need veterinarian and board member Dr. Jack Walkenhorst shares his tips and expertise in Dr. Jack's Healthy Pet Gazette

In my experience as a practicing veterinarian for 35 years, I've found that pet insurance is one of the best investments a pet owner can make for their pet. Almost every pet will suffer a severe and costly injury or illness in his or her lifetime, and not many people have $10,000 lying around in case of an accident. Pet insurance means that a pet owner will never have to choose between optimal care for a pet and finding a way to pay for it.
Staff Spotlight

We would like to give a tail-wagging welcome to the newest member of the Pets In Need pack, Casey Holcomb!

Casey became involved with Pets In Need as a clinic volunteer a few months ago. "My grandma used to manage a vet clinic, so when I learned about Pets In Need, I figured they could probably use some volunteers," said Casey.

Now Casey is one of our Client Services Coordinators. He's a friendly face greeting clients, accepting applications, and more. Casey said he wanted to work at Pets In Need because, "I saw it as an opportunity to do something positive in the world. Although I'm not directly working with the animals, I feel like I'm doing my small part to help them."
