What is Glucosamine Sulphate?

Glucosamine sulphate is a simple molecule composed of g lucose, an amine and sulphur.  It is an important building block needed by the body to manufacture glycosaminoglycan, a mucopolysaccharide found in cartilage and other structural connective tissue.  Our bodies can produce its own glucosamine from glucose (a sugar) and glutamine (an amino acid).  There are no food sources of glucosamine; supplemental sources are derived from chitin, a material present in the shells of crustaceans (shrimps, crabs and lobsters) and combined with sulphur to make glucosamine sulphate.  This combination is especially beneficial because joint cartilage is rich in sulphur and both compounds are required to maintain the strength and shock-absorbing qualities of cartilage.

What is it Used For?
  • Building Blocks - Glucosamine Sulphate provides building blocks to help rebuild cartilage and repair damaged joints.
  • Reduce Pain & Improve Mobility - Glucosamine Sulphate can help to reduce painful symptoms and improve mobility.
