Monticello, GA31064
Ocmulgee Bluff Trail System is the jumping off point for the Ocmulgee River Horse, Bike and Hiking Trail. This area has parking for a large number of vehicles and horse trailers and can accommodate large groups of riders. The trail generally follows the Ocmulgee River, but does move away from the river on some recently added loops. This trail is the compilation of several smaller trails to comprise nearly 30 miles of riding, biking and hiking adventure and pleasure.

Adventures in Conservation Education Camp
July 17-21, 2017
(Mon. 1 p.m. - Fri. 12:30 p.m.)
ACE (Adventures in Conservation Education) Overnight Camp (6th-8th grade): ACE is a unique workshop/camp for middle school students focusing on wildlife conservation. Participants will spend five days immersed in Georgia wildlife via hands-on activities and day trips including birding in Piedmont National Wildlife Refuge, canoeing in Bond Swamp, mist-netting bats at Oconee National Forest, and exploring bogs at Ohoopee Dunes. Also, they will spend time learning to shoot shotguns, hiking to a rock outcrop and studying streams with fisheries biologists.
July 17-21, 2017 (Mon. 1 p.m. - Fri. 12:30 p.m.)
Cost: $100: Thanks to a grant from The Environmental Resources Network, the cost of the program is ONLY $100 per person. This covers all room and board and program fees. Campers interested will need to complete an essay to be considered for this camp. Essays are due by May 15th, 2017.
Application Evaluation begins June 1
Space is limited (only 14 spots available), so apply early!

Public Kids Fishing Event
Saturday, July 22, 2017
8:00 am - 12:00 pm
KFEs are for ages 15 and under meaning that no license is necessary. A
DNR Fisheries Education Specialist leads the event and provides limited
amounts of tackle and bait. KFEs are held at 'high catch' rate ponds.
Catch and keep limits vary per event.
Marben PFA hosts several public KFEs every year. Each public KFE lasts from 8am-12pm.
