Why you should play nice together in the sand box.

Dear Team:

Together, we've made a difference! Thanks to your efforts and calls, the Better Care Reconciliation Act has been laid to rest, saving health care for millions. Now we have the opportunity to work toward a unified, stronger bipartisan healthcare bill.  There are still significant challenges in Obamacare that need to be addressed. For instance, unless things change, twenty counties in Ohio are slated to have no Obamacare coverage next year.  This week we are asking you to call both state senators and ask them to work together on a bipartisan, transparent solution to healthcare.

For our local action: We are asking you to think a little closer to home. For months, we've been talking about large policy issues. But to be successful, families also need smaller, more material comforts too. Things like underwear and socks. On August 9th,   NCJW/Cleveland will once again be hosting a free back- to- school event for local school-aged youth in need. At Share What You Wear-a one day pop up store- children in need can "shop" for new and gently used clothing and school supplies (all of which have been donated). But what our attendees told us they are most in need of are brand new socks and underwear.  So for this week's action we are asking you to bring in socks and underwear to the NCJW/Cleveland office located at 26055 Emery Road, Warrensville Heights OH 44128 between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm M-F. You can either drop them off at the front of the office or at the warehouse in the back. (We will have a Share What You Wear box in both places)

If you are outside the Cleveland area, consider donating to other local free back to school providers, like the ones listed here: https://www.tripsavvy.com/free-school-supplies-in-central-ohio-798875
