WUMC E-News | July 20

Dear ,

Please continue to pray for all the youth and adults who are sowing seeds in Ashville, NC, this week through the ReCreation Mission Trip. I've got it on good authority that the weather has been fabulous, the worship amazing, and the service rich and meaningful.

Remember that this will be our Youth Ministries Associate, Henry's, last Sunday here at WUMC so we will bless him during both worship services and, during Tent Time, we will celebrate his ministry and wish him well on his way! Also, we get to welcome our Children's Ministries Director, Megan, back on Sunday and she will lead us in this week's Intergenerational Offering during the Sunday school hour, which is Church Olympics!

I hope your week is filled with opportunities to sow God's seeds of love with wild abandon and that you're blessed to see some growth, especially in your own hearts.

Growing with you in Christ,
Pastor Tracey

Schlitterbahn Day Trip

Sign up at wumcyouth.com to reserve your spot for our day trip where we have fun together out in the sun! We are heading to Schlitterbahn on July 27th. All incoming 6th through outgoing 12th grade students and their friends are welcome to join us. Cost and times can be found online, we also need some adult chaperones, contact Diane Kofahl if you're interested!
Food for the First

We continue our tradition to donate non-perishable food to the food pantry of Grace UMC, Granite Shoals, during the first week of each  month. On August 6, we will be making a food labyrinth from your donation at Summer Soul Food. Please place your donations in the baskets in the narthex of our sanctuary, or entry way of Building M, or green bin near the Gym.  Thank you to Dixie and John Paulos for recent deliveries of our food donations to Granite Shoals.  Other volunteer drivers are needed for the next few months.  You can sign up on the Volunteer calendar in front of our main church office.  Most drivers seem to not mind stopping at the Bluebonnet Cafe in Marble Falls, on their way home, at least for Pie, amazingly delicious pie...Pie Happy Hour every afternoon.
