It's Time: Back to School Shopping! 
Tired of the same shopping mall craze with overly packed stores and impossible parking? Then stroll through the streets of Midwest City's Town Center Plaza for your back-to-school shopping! Shoppers will enjoy the look and feel of a wonderful classic outdoor main street, with the ease and convenience found by combining scores of local and national retailers. Splash 'N Dash will be a Blast! 

The annual Splash 'N Dash at Reno Swim and Slide is scheduled to be held on Friday, Aug. 25! This non-competitive biathlon event is open to boys and girls ages 7-12. The event is designed to provide children an opportunity to explore the world of multisport and will feature a fun run and swim. Events will be divided by age for the race. Check-in will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the first race commencing at 6:30 p.m.

Splash 'N Dash is a FREE event, but participants must be registered by Aug. 24 to take part!

Have you heard? The 2017 Great Solar Eclipse is coming to a city near you! This will be the first total solar eclipse visible in the continental United States in 38 years. If your schedule places you in Midwest City Aug. 21, you're in luck! There's a variety of exceptional locations in the area to view this astronomical occurrence, and we've designed a quick list to maximize the experience. 

The first thing you'll need to do before you can experience the solar eclipse is acquire a pair of special eclipse-viewing glasses. You can order your own online or pick up a pair at the Midwest City Metropolitan Library while supplies last!
