From the Program Director

Sarah Chandonnet

This Sunday, we're excited to host Humanist Hub religious ally, Laura Everett. Laura is a four-season bike commuter in Boston, pastor in the United Church of Christ, and author of Holy Spokes: The Search for Urban Spirituality on Two Wheels.

Laura writes and reflects on urban spirituality, noting that much contemporary spirituality focuses on finding the sacred in the wilderness. Yet for those of us who feel called to cities, or do not have the option to leave, where do we find beauty and meaning in the daily disciplines of urban life?

What can humanists and humanist communities learn from the practice of intentional daily disciplines and rituals, especially in Cambridge and Boston? 1:30-3:00pm, 30 JFK Street.
