LCUL's 2017 Convention Update: Action Packed Agenda Offers Invaluable Networking, Dynamic Education Sessions
Why should you attend LCUL's 2017 Annual Meeting & Convention? Aside from the dynamic education opportunities we're offering this year including the all new hot topic quick sessions and round table discussions, attendees have the opportunity to gather with their peers in a number of different settings and gain invaluable insight from one another.

Some events such as the community service project and the silent auction offer the chance to give back, which is what we do best. Take a closer look at what's on our set list:

NEW AGE MUSIC...

Rock n Bowl: ($50/person) Join us for a fundraiser benefiting the Louisiana CU Foundation that includes open bar, food, bowling, and a little rock n roll. Not a bowler? Not a problem! Come hangout and the start your convention experience off right. If you have already registered for convention and want to sign up for bowling, email convention@lcul.com and we'll take care of it!

2017 Marketing Awards Ceremony:  Louisiana credit union marketers are so awesome we've given you your own time slot. That's right, all eyes are on you. With more than 210 entries, the competition is stacked. New this year: overall winners in asset categories will be announced!

YOU Decide: Convention attendees will cast their vote for the new Prize-Linked Savings name, logo design during the event. It's a product made for your members so you should have a say. Let your voice be heard and join in on the excitement during our live polling.

Round Table Discussions:  Some say the best way to learn is by simply listening to what your peers have to say. We couldn't agree more. Join us as we introduce a new concept to convention. A full report on what was discussed will be issued post-convention.

OLDIES BUT GOODIES...

Friday Night Event presents "the Farewell Tour" (in honor of one of our biggest CU Rock Stars):
Often imitated but never duplicated, our Friday night social event means one thing: anything goes. The event includes dinner, dancing, and open bar. This year, we encourage concert-goers to "dress and reflect" on your favorite music genre. Dress up as your favorite music era, band, or icon.  We highly suggest you make an appearance as you won't want to miss one of our biggest surprises yet!

Annual Golf Tournament: Tee high and let it fly during our 2017 golf tournament, which offers more than just a morning on the greens. We incorporate networking, food, fun, and a little bit of sun to ensure your experience is both enjoyable and beneficial. Don't forget to bring your mulligan money!

YPN Silent Auction:  Bid against your peers for a good cause. Hot items will be up for grabs while supporting YPN scholarships and the Louisiana CU Foundation. The auction will take place during exhibit hours with the final live bidding wars coming to an end at the Friday night social event. (want to donate a prize? e-mail us!)

Additional information on speakers, education sessions, and other events are posted on our convention page . Questions? Contact the League's convention team.
Participate in LCUL's Community Service Project During Convention
From superheroes to princesses, if you've been around kids between the ages of 1 and 10, you know they are serious about their band aid selection. That's why Children's Hospital is starting a band aid donation drive.

Children's Hospital uses thousands upon thousands of band aids each year so we encourage you to donate a few boxes at the Children's Miracle Network booth in the exhibitor hall during our convention. Giving back is what we do and there's no better time than our statewide convention when we all come together.

Labarre Associates Invites Louisiana CUs to Grand Re-Opening and Open House
On August 11, 2016, an abnormally heavy rain began to fall on Livingston Parish.  This rainfall would lead to what we now refer to as "The Great Flood of 2016." Labarre Associates' first focus was getting their clients back up and running, so that they could serve the community's needs. Now, exactly one year later, Labarre Associates will be celebrating their "Grand Re-opening."

Mark your calendars for August 11, 2017 and come celebrate the grand re-opening of Labarre Associates campus. The open house, grand re-opening celebration will include food, fun, and networking.  This will be the first opportunity for clients, friends, and the community to see the newly remodeled office, utilizing office design trends that we currently share with our clients.

Learn more about flood recovery in Denham Springs and Livingston Parish through their clients and employee experiences, and about Labarre Associates as a facility consulting company serving clients throughout the southeast United States.
