AHS Teacher Highlight: Adrian Chang

This is Adrian Chang's first full year at Arcadia, however, he is not new to the campus.  His first experience at Arcadia was through a random placement with Mrs. Dukelow for an internship.  He describes the internship as one of the luckiest things to ever happen to him, learning so much from her that he knew he just had to come back to student teach at Arcadia as well... which he did!   Later, after graduating from ASU in December 2016, Mr. Chang jumped on an opportunity to fill in for a math teacher who was on a leave of absence for the spring 2017 quarter.  Mr. Chang describes himself as lucky, however, Arcadia students and staff are the lucky ones!... fortunate to be the recipients of his excellent teaching skills, positive attitude, enthusiasm and devotion to all Arcadia students!  Mr. Chang's educational background includes: Bachelor's in Secondary Education (Mathematics)  READ MORE >>

February 24th, 2018 - Scottsdale Independent
Scottsdale Sister Cities Association recognized five outstanding teachers before a standing room only ceremony held earlier this month.  One teacher from each of the five Scottsdale Unified School District high schools was selected for the recognition.
Uniquely, it was students from the high schools who introduced the teachers at the Feb. 8 event, and then spoke about how these teachers reached out to students, cared for their success, and helped develop their leadership skills.  All five are teacher advisors for the International Clubs at their schools.
