If you'd like to be Confirmed, Received into The Episcopal Church, or make a Public Profession of the Christian Faith, when Bishop White makes his annual visitation on Sunday, June 3rd, this course is a necessary preparation to receive one of those sacramental rites.

Habitat for Humanity
St. Matthews Episcopal Church, has been working for several years in order to be able to build a another Habitat for Humanity home.

We are at that point in the project, when we are looking for volunteers to help for a few hours or a few days, as people are able to volunteer their time.

This house will be built in the Forrest Springs neighborhood, off Westport Road very near the Oldham County Line just off Hwy 146 in PeeWee Valley.

St. Luke's Book Club
YOU ARE INVITED to St Luke's Book Club on April 10 at 6:30. Our book selection for April is  The Saboteur, The Aristocrat Who Became France's Most Daring Anti-Nazi Commando written by Paul Kix . A narrative nonfiction, fast-paced and breathtaking biography on an intriguing and incredible aristocrat, Robert de La Rochefoucauld (pronounced, "Roush-foo-coe"), as emotionally intuitive as the very best spy novel  Illuminates an unsung hero of the French Resistance during WWII.  Robert was trained at 17 after Germany attacked France by Britain's Special Operations Executive on the dark arts of anarchy and combat--cracking safes, planting bombs, killing with bare hands, destroying fortified compounds and munitions factories, etc., etc., etc.  Winston Churchill described the work of his group as the "Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare."  His almost unlikely exploits go on and on at a breakneck speed, almost as hard on the reader as they were for him. Well...actually...not even close but you can't put the book down.

MEETING INFO: Lyman House, April 10,
SECOND (2 nd) Tuesday monthly at 6:30 PM for
2+- hours of rousing conversations and introductions to books of almost every genre.

At the end of each meeting, we discuss books for the next month's selection, so bring your suggestions with you.

Undecorating the church will take place on Sunday,
April 15, following the 10am service.

You may pick up your lilies in the parish hall at that time. Remember, they are hardy and can be planted outside.
