He's one of the many dogs available for adoption from 

German Shepherd Rescue of Orange County (GSROC) who have made it their mission to rescue and rehabilitate as many German Shepherds as they can. 

GSROC is a volunteer-driven organization and

believes "that by focusing on the niche that [they] know best (German Shepherds) and by placing the dogs in suitable, lifelong homes, [they] can significantly reduce the number of animal lives that are lost in our immediate area." They currently have approximately 61 dogs in need of fostering or adoption, and depend on community support to keep their organization running.
