Aviation Fuel Handling Workshop

Guest speakers include;

John Leonard of PECOFacet will present the differences in fuels, the filtration processes from the Refinery to the Skin of the Aircraft, how they work and why they are important. Included is an explanation in layman's terms of the EI and JIG documents as they apply to filtration and some examples of what can go wrong if you don't do the right thing or are not paying attention.

Jim Gammon of Gammon Technical Products will present an in depth review and instruction of QC procedures and the equipment involved including care and maintenance. Product recovery is discussed as are the future global EI and IATA proposals as they relate to fuel handling. 

Damon Thompson of Meggitt Control Systems will present the underwing nozzles, internal tank valves, high level shut off operations, the importance of tank venting, primary and secondary control systems and testing procedures, the function of a venturi in the fuelling system and ground hydrant couplers and valves. The background history as to why we have 3rd edition.
