Starlight Revue Summer Concerts
Lincoln Park and the City's Parks and Recreation Department will continue its concert series this Tuesday, July 11, 2017 with musical act, Coupe De Ville. Dance lessons in the Rumba discipline will start at 6:30 pm with the concert at 7:00 pm. Hy-Vee Grill will provide food and drink for purchase starting at 5:00 pm. World War 1 History Series
The Main Library will be hosting a World War One series called "Over There" through November of 2018. Army Sustainment Command Historian, George Eaton will chronologically go through the USA's entry into the war, looking at the triggers that led to US involvement, the experience of soldiers and key battles. Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at the Main Library from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm will be the first program, which covers Submarine Warfare. Please see the library calendar for the entire series and the dates. Backwater Gamblers Water Ski Show
Summer means it's time to catch a free show by the Backwater Gamblers Water Ski Show Team. The team consists of approximately 150 members ranging in age from 3 to 60. Skiing members perform acts such as jumping, barefooting, pyramids, swivel, strap doubles, and others. Watch them on their home surf at 44th Street and the Rock River.
