Would you like to meet other families with a member or members diagnosed with SDS?  Interested in learning more about SDS while your children are taken care of and having fun?   Join us at Camp Sunshine!  Adult patients are welcome!

One-on-One meeting opportunities
The physicians attending will present in a lecture setting over a 2 1/2 day period.  Within those days, there is the opportunity to sign up for one-on-one sessions.  Also, you can chat with them over a meal!  At this time the presenters include;
Dr. Blanche Alter from the NIH, Dr. Laurie Burroughs from SCCA, Dr. Seth Corey from VCU, Dr. Peter Kannu from Sick Kids Canada, Dr. Elizabeth Kerr from Sick Kids Canada,  
Jenelle Leighton RN, BSN from the CDC of St.Louis,  Dr.Kasiani Myers from CCHMC, 
Johanna Rommens PhD from Sick Kids Canada, Dr. Akiko Shimamura from Boston Children's, and Dr. Garry Tobin from Wash U, St. Louis.
Location 
Camp Sunshine, Casco, ME
Camp Sunshine is located east of Portland, Maine.  If you are arriving by air, rail, or bus, camp volunteers can pick you up at the terminal.  Arrangements must be made ahead of time.  There is plenty of parking available if you are driving.  Directions
 
Accommodations
 Each family is assigned a suite.   Each suite sleeps six, has separate climate controls, and includes a full bathroom, mini-fridge, and microwave.  Towels and sheets are provided when arriving by air, or bus.
