Sonia Gardner
100WF Global Board Chair and President, Managing Partner, and Co-Founder, Avenue Capital Group

Sonia Gardner is President, Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Avenue Capital Group, a global alternative investment manager with over $12.5 billion in assets under managements focused on distressed and undervalued debt and equity in the U.S., Europe, and Asia with ten offices across the globe. Ms. Gardner is the Partner in charge of managing the firm, and distressed investing has been the focus of her professional career over the last 29 years. Ms. Gardner is also Co-Founder of Amroc where she was a Senior Portfolio Manager responsible for investing the partners' capital. Prior to co-founding Amroc as an independent entity, she was General Counsel and Senior Managing Director of Amroc Investments, L.P., the predecessor firm associated with the Robert Bass Group, Inc. In addition to serving on the 100WF Board, Ms. Gardner was the recipient of the 100WHF 2008 Industry Leadership Award. She is also a member of the Board of Trustees of The Mount Sinai Medical Center. She previously served on the Board of Directors of the Managed Funds Association (MFA) and its Executive Committee.

Steven Shenfeld
Co-Founder and President, MidOcean Credit Partners

Mr. Shenfeld is the Co-Founder and President of MidOcean Credit Partners a $5.4 BN alternative credit platform. He is responsible for managing and overseeing its investment strategies and operations and chairs its Investment and Risk committees. Prior to joining MidOcean, Mr. Shenfeld was a General Partner and Founder of MD Sass Macquarie Financial Strategies, a private equity fund focused on acquiring/seeding stakes in asset management companies. Previously, Mr. Shenfeld was a General Partner with Avenue Capital Group LLC, a multi- billion dollar distressed debt and credit investment platform. He was also a Managing Director for BancBoston Robertson Stephens and Bankers Trust supervising various business units including Leveraged Finance, High Yield Capital Markets and Global Finance Sales and Trading. Mr. Shenfeld has a BA from Tufts University and an MBA from University of Michigan Ross Business School.

Christina Bodden
Partner, Maples and Calder

Christina is a partner in the Investment Funds group, specialising in the structuring of private equity funds and advising on the related downstream transactions. She also works extensively with major institutions and hedge fund managers and their onshore counsel, advising on the structuring and ongoing operation of all aspects of investment funds. Additionally, Christina has a particular expertise in hedge fund sideletter arrangements and fund restructurings.

Christina joined the Investment Funds group of Maples and Calder in 2004 and was elected as a partner in 2012. Christina has been recognised as a leading lawyer by Legal 500.
