BACKGROUND
Recent developments in web conferencing have opened up new opportunities for connecting people and thinking across borders of all kinds.
One of the most popular online video conferencing tools is Zoom, which allows us to create breakout rooms in the virtual space. By using Zoom, we can have both small group and whole group conversations as we do in onsite World Cafés.
Many hosts are now using these technologies to enhance learning and collaboration by building new types of online communities.
But at the same time, we have to learn and improve virtual facilitation skills.
In this highly interactive session we will hear stories from two experienced online practitioners and explore opportunities for using these new technologies to accelerate global learning and collaboration. We will also talk about some of the challenges that we will be facing under this new environment.
