Important Message
from the President
Dear Fellow Congregants,

I really like this time of year!  Spring is upon us, soon the snow will melt, birds will once again be heard in the woods around our houses and flowers will start blooming.  It's a time of new seasonal beginnings for all of us.  The same is true within our TBC community!  At our last congregational meeting I shared with you the Board of Trustees and Executive Committees' vision for our community.  We approved the hiring of a student Cantor and a Director of Lifelong Learning.  We also, as you know, had to hire a new Office Manager after Kim O'Rielly has moved on in her career.

We are pleased and excited to announce that Suzanne Chaya Hamstra will join TBC as our student Cantor intern!  She is currently a cantorial intern at Kehillat Yozma in Modi'in, Israel.  Prior to entering the Hebrew Union College Debbie Friedman School of Sacred Music cantorial program, Suzanne was a substitute cantorial soloist at Congreation Sherith Israel in San Francisco, CA.  She has also worked as a voice teacher and freelance opera singer.  She received her Bachelor degree in music (graduating summa cum laude) from The Boston Conservator and Masters degree in music (graduating summa cum laude) from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. We are looking forward to her being a part of our community in the near future!

We have also submitted our application to the Association of Reform Jewish Educators for the Director of Lifelong Learning position.  We are finishing the formation of the search committee and are looking forward to having them select the best candidate for this role!  I will continue to share with you our progress in filling this key role!

We have also hired a new Office Manager, Denise Seccurra.  She will be starting this week!  Denise will be joining TBC beginning this week. Denise had worked for 12 years at the Conservative Congregation Beth El in Norwalk as their office manager/admin. She has extensive office management skills and a 'can do' attitude that will help us move forward in our vision!  She resides in Wilton and is enthusiastic to start a new chapter with us.  Please stop by and introduce yourselves to her and help her to get to know our community!

As our vision takes form I look forward to sharing more good news with you in the coming months!

Warm Regards,

Cindy Baulsir, TBC President
