The Granite Entertainment Committee has been hard at work to plan another great Summer line-up for our members. Luau, DJs, Holiday Games, Live Music...there's going to be something for everyone!

Clean-Up Day
Who:YOU! We need volunteers to help get the pool ready for the new season.
(VOLUNTEERS ARE AWESOME!)
What:Nothing too strenuous --just a bit of tidying up and good old Spring cleaning!

So the best pool on the planet can have a SUPER SEASON!
How:
Show up, help out, SPLASH into the pool an hour early on opening day!
If you have a teen that needs community service hours this is a perfect opportunity. Besides the reward of a job well done, all the AWESOME volunteers get early entry on Opening Day!

**PLANET GRANITE IMPROVEMENTS**
The pool may closed but the Granite Pool Board (Awesome Volunteers) and pool maintenance continue year round.
Our pool & buildings have seen quite the facelift over the last 4 years. This off-season has been focused on polishing up around the edges. Besides some electrical and mechanical upgrades, there are a few other surprises!!! Come out to the annual Spring Cleaning on May 5th to check things out (think playground, baby pool, landscaping, just to name a few...).

The Granite Marlins Swim Team
Do you have a child that loves team sports AND the water?! Well then, Granite's swim team, one of the best in the region, is the team for you! The swim team is a great way for children ages 5 through 18 to improve swimming skills, learn new techniques, make friends and have lots of fun! Each year the team consists of 150-175 swimmers. Any child who is between the ages of 5 and 18, and is part of the general membership, is eligible to join the team. Get in one hour early if you volunteer on Clean-Up Day

For varying reasons, we have had four Board members leave since the end of last summer. We are still taking care of all the off-season business, but Granite needs more members who are willing to volunteer and participate on our active board. We need adults from every demographic, who can see the big picture of what our facility represents to each and every member.
Every year brings new ways to serve:

- Swim Team / Tennis / Snack Bar Liaisons
- Bring new & creative ideas!

REC. BUILDING UPDATE: As some of you may be aware, our Rec. Building experienced a run-in with vandals in December. However, thanks to the Richmond Police & Fire departments, our awesome vendors and your faithful Volunteer Board (VOLUNTEERS ARE AWESOME), justice is being served and things are just about back to normal.
