IvyNotes: The week of March 12th
A weekly look ahead with dates and event details to help keep you informed.

A Note from Susan Holt

Thanks to all who attended the
PTA St. Patrick's Day Family Dance on Saturday night.  This place was rocking

We feel very LUCKY to have such a dedicated PTA. Special thanks to the dance committee ( Eugenia Guardia, Esnire Obhrai, Catherine Canterbury, Sandy Landis, Peri Ross, Maria Martinez-Jenny, Jen Berzok, Meghan Dworschak, and Carolyn Woodham) plus, all of the event volunteers for making the dance such a fun memory for everyone.

We're thrilled with the turnout during our 6th Annual Special Needs Resource Fair earlier today. Thanks to all of our vendors and speakers for sharing such valuable information. A special shout-out to the authors (and illustrator!) of Conversation Club for a wonderful presentation. See photos below.

Students from MLN High School participated in a financial literacy workshop last week, hosted by a representative from Wells Fargo Bank and sponsored by the DC Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA). Topics of discussion included budget basics, spending plans, credit, and college savings.  We had a great dialogue, with students actively participating and sharing ideas. We are grateful to RSA and Wells Fargo for providing a fun and informative information session.

Please note details below for our new Ivymount lecture series. Our first lecture, "The Importance of Self Advocacy to Success," is scheduled for Tuesday, April 17th from 7-9 p.m. Each of our three complimentary lectures will be held in the Ivymount APR.

Don't miss our SGA Spirit Week scheduled for Monday, March 19th through Friday, March 23rd. Scroll down for more details.

Finally, a reminder that Spring Break is from March 26th through April 2nd.

Have a great week,

Susan Holt, Director
