Tampa Bay Reporter: It's Time to Talk Budget in St. Pete
City officials have scheduled an open house to give residents a chance to learn more about the 2017-18 budget.
The budget open house is scheduled for 6 p.m.Monday (June 19) at the Coliseum, 535 Fourth Ave. N. St. Petersburg residents will have a chance to ask questions and share ideas with Mayor Rick Kriseman, City Council members, and administrators. City staff from City Development, Public Safety, Neighborhood Affairs, Public Works, General Government, and Leisure Services departments will also be available to speak with citizens during the first hour.

In case you weren't quite sure,
Outside Magazine further confirmed that St. Pete is one of the best places to live in the world. The magazine just released a list of the 25 Best Towns Ever and included the Sunshine City.
The median home value in St. Pete is estimated to be $145,000 with a median household income of $46,000. Outside touts our city's 3,000 acre wildlife refuge,

News Channel 8: St. Pete aims to prevent hate crimes with SAFE PLACE decals
It's a powerful message the city of St. Petersburg wants everyone to know. Hate crimes will not be tolerated in the community.
On Thursday morning, St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman and the St. Petersburg Police Department launched a new initiative called SAFE PLACE.
The goal is to have as many local business owners as possible to display rainbow decals on the front door or windows of their buildings.

Tampa Bay Reporter: Need Help? Find a 'Safe Place' in St. Pete
This city's police department has become the second Tampa Bay area policing agency to partner with businesses to offer the "Safe Place" program.
The program is specifically designed to reduce hate crimes and harassment involving any person targeted for race, sexual orientation or religious affiliation. The official announcement was made today (June 15) by Mayor Rick Kriseman and police Chief Anthony Holloway during a press conference at Out of the Closet, 3400 26th Ave. S.

The Weekly Challenger: Deuces at I-275 Underpass Lighting and Landscape Improvement
The city will begin work on the Deuces-Interstate 275 Underpass Lighting and Landscape Improvement project in the next few weeks. The public is invited to join city officials for groundbreaking ceremonies at 9 a.m. Monday, June 19, beneath the I-275 overpass (at the corner of 22nd Street and Seventh Avenue South). Parking will be at the nearby Manhattan Casino, 642 22nd St. S.
The Capital Improvement Project features Aesthetic Lighting Improvements and Landscape Improvements to the I-275 Underpass at 22nd Street South, including construction of new sidewalk and colored concrete surfaces in the parkway, landscaping and new lighting components.
