Grades 4 - 9 Fish Creek Park Field Trip
Grade 4-9 students had a blast yesterday at Fish Creek Park! The weather was perfect for biking and many of our students brought their bikes along for a beautiful bike ride. Thank you to Rabbi Goldenberg for organizing the biking brigade and the transportation of all the bicycles. Thank you to Mrs. Goldstein and Mrs. Segal for helping to transport the bikes. The hiking group enjoyed a walk along the creek and a marshmallow roast in the fire built by students supervised by Nina O.

Lego Competition
Thank you to all who participated in the Lego Competition and congratulations to the winners!
Akiva Moot Court
The Akiva moot court was an incredible experience for the students participating in it as well as all the students in Grade 5-9 who came to observe. The students argued a landmark case before Judge Lipton and did a great job arguing both sides of the case. We learned about the dangers of Lashon Hara spread by social media and the harm it can cause to others. Thank you so much to Mr. William Katz and Mr. Mike Low of Bennett Jones for preparing the students for the case.

Grade 6-9 Graduation
Graduation took place this week at House of Jacob on Tuesday night. The students spoke so well of their memories and experiences over their years at Akiva. Several teachers expressed confidence in the students to move on to the next level of education supported by the knowledge and growth they have attained with the strong support of their parents and teachers.
Pre-School and Kindergarten Treehouse Field Trip
On Thursday morning students in pre-school and kindergarten had a super fun time at Treehouse Indoor Playground. Thank you so much to all the volunteers who came along on the trip: Mrs. Bassin, Mrs. Jacobs and Mrs. Kesselman.
