ACE17 GAVEL PASSING - Lennox New AWWA President

900 attendees witnessed the AWWA Gavel Passing to close ACE17 in Philadelphia on Wednesday, June 14.

Our very own Brenda Lennox accepted the gavel and became just the fifth AWWA President from our Section. Everyone in attendance were given cowboy hats in honor of Brenda's love of barrel racing. As president she promised to  focus her attention on embracing diversity, attracting and training veterans and inspiring and recruiting young professionals on behalf of AWWA and the water profession.

Congratulations Brenda!
NEW SECTION WEBSITE

The new Section website was launched just weeks ago and has received very positive comments.  If you haven't seen it, it had a much fresher look, tone and feel than its predecessor. With better organization and features we have been able to add new material to the site.

Scroll down the home page and you will see an expanded Section Conference presence as well as two new areas focusing on the Community Engineering Corp and the Professional Operator designation. Inside you will find an expanded jobs page with an area for posting internship opportunities for free!  You will also notice that the SafetyFlix videos have now all been uploaded to the website.  If Netflix can do online streaming so can we!

If you have any questions on the new site contact the Section office
