Genies
Week One
What an amazing start to the 2017 camp season! Our youngest campers have been busy making new friends and trying new activities.
This year's Genie schedules include time to explore our Naturescape play area, located near the Nature Den. This special area offers campers opportunities to explore natural materials, make music and get a different perspective from the 'treehouse'. They are becoming quite the little fish in the pool already as well. Their creative juices are flowing in the Rec Barn so be on the look-out for some of their amazing art work that will be coming home soon!

Here's to an awesome summer!

Our schedules were packed full of fun with activities including Naturescape, OmniZone, Rock Gym and the ever popular GaGa! We are looking forward to an exciting week 2 and a great summer!

The Arts
Week One

Week 1 in the Rec Barn has been great! In cooking we made fruit salsa, and homemade chips as well as smoothies for Clubs and Electives! Genies showed pride for their country by making red, white and blue sunglasses. Aladdins also got ready for July 4th by creating Uncle Sam door hangers!  Sultans made adorable red, white and blue windsocks. Sinbads loved making plates in ceramics! In Rockwood, clubs and electives were a huge hit! Theater club already started rehearsing for Beauty and the Beast, and in arts and crafts they made jewelry holders, headbands, and bracelets.  What a great week!!!

Special Events
Week One

The first week of camp was filled with lots of Special Events! It was great getting to meet all of our campers during our Gameshow activities and Dance Party. Sesame enjoyed decorating camp with some amazing chalk drawings on Chalk It Up Day, while Rockwood played an exciting game of Whoosh Ball. Everyone looked super silly on Wednesday when they dressed up in their Mismatch outfits. On Thursday the entire camp got to celebrate their birthdays at the Birthday Bash Celebration! We can't wait to see all the fun and exciteme nt that Week 2 will bring!

Here's what's new for Week 2...

Outdoor Education
Week 1

Genie, Aladdin and Sultan campers have been enjoying connecting with nature this first week of camp 2017. The children in each of these divisions participated in seed exploration; we talked about where seeds are found, how they germinate and the magic of how a tiny acorn can grown to become a giant oak tree!
Then we got our hands dirty! Genies planted seeds in anticipation of growing giant sunflowers while the Aladdins and Sultans added compost to the soil then transplanted vegetable plants and planted vegetable seeds in the camp garden.
As our plants grow this summer, so will we!

Check out SRC's NEW Gaga Court down at the Archery Range!
Now our campers can enjoy both their favorites...all in one shot!

Our WonderKey School is a fully accredited pre-school for children 2 through 5 years of age where wonderful learning takes place. In a warm and nurturing environment, our young students benefit from excellent early learning experiences. Best part is that all of this takes place right here at camp where we can take full advantage of all that camp has to offer.  Most members of the WonderKey faculty are familiar camp faces; we even get to see Uncle Howard and Aunt Dale throughout the school year!

Our School participates in the Keystone Stars as a child care provider. We exceed State Health & Safety Licensing requirements. If you'd like more information or a tour of The WonderKey School please contact our School Director Fern Helfer (Camp's Genie Director) at (610) 279-8711. Our website can be a great resource too! www.WonderKeySchool.com
