Note - there will be no Sunday School this week.
Summer Sunday school starts next week!
And the office will be closed on Monday July 3 and Tuesday July 4. Have a great celebration!
Congratulations to Phyllis and Hayward Thomas!
This Saturday, June 1,  is the 75th Wedding Anniversary of Phyllis and Hayward Thomas!
We will celebrate them at the 8am service this Sunday, June 2!
Next Week is Undie Sunday
We work regularly to support St Luke's Breakfast Program for the Homeless in Long Beach. They always need donations of underwear (the most requested, but least often donated items for homeless shelters). Please bring anything you can to church next week, and our volunteers will take them to St Luke's the following Saturday. New is nice, but used is OK as long as they are in good condition!
Summer Sunday School
Begins July 9 and runs through August 27.
We will meet in the Library and the children will come to church to be with their families in time for Communion. We will break from our Godly Play curriculum for a slightly more relaxed Summer with "Heroes of the Bible " videos, fun, games, and crafts.
Come join us! Meet at 9:55 in the Library!
Come join the summer choir!
Our choir is moving to our summer schedule, which means we do not meet on Thursday nights, but only come at 9:00am on Sunday mornings to learn the music for that day. Come join us!
Diocesan Appointments
Bishop J. Jon Bruno on June 21 appointed the Rev. Canon Charleen Crean as archdeacon of the diocese, effective Aug. 1. Crean will succeed retiring Archdeacon Joanne Leslie, who has served in that position since 2011. Bruno also appointed Canon Hank Gatlin of St. Francis' Church, Palos Verdes Estates, to the newly created position of associate to the archdeacon.
