WIRELESS COMMUNICATION FACILITY UPDATE:
In June of 2011 the Deer Valley Unified School District entered in to a cell phone tower easement to place a cell phone tower on the Desert Mountain Elementary School site. The school was selected as an alternative site to other areas within Desert Hills that were deemed by many to be less desirable. Although the easement has been in place for six years, the cell phone tower was not built - until now. Recently, Deer Valley Unified School District received word that an agreement had been reached between the owner of the easement and a cell phone provider, so the cell phone tower would be constructed. Construction has already begun and it is expected to be completed by the end of May or beginning of June.
