Celebrating 10 Years in 2017!

Local Harvest Grocery is open today, 8am to 8pm. Happy Memorial Day!
In 2007, Local Harvest Grocery opened with the simple mission of bringing locally grown and produced foods to the Saint Louis area through a friendly, small grocery store.  Our goal was to focus on supporting small farms and farmers who used mostly organic practices and who raised their animals mostly outside. We've gone through many ups and downs during these 10 years, and we couldn't have made it through without the support of our customers, farmers, and vendors. We are proud to offer the largest selection of locally sourced meats, eggs, milk, produce, chocolate and an assortment of locally produced dry-goods, beers, wines, spirits, teas and coffees.

For many of our vendors and farmers, we were the very first place they ever sold their product. Many have gone on to have shelf space in larger grocery stores, or have opened their own retail store or restaurant, and we are so happy to celebrate this success. We believe it's important to support your local economy by purchasing locally grown and produced foods and feel honored to have been in your lives and this community for 10 years! Many thanks to our customers, vendors, hard-working staff and the Tower Grove Neighborhood for supporting Local Harvest Grocery and supporting the local food economy.

Product Spotlight: Red Top Oven
Red Top Oven, based out of Buffalo, MO, is reviving the art of food preservation. Sourcing local produce at peak freshness from area farmers' markets, Red Top Oven transforms it into bright jars of pickled, fermented, and preserved goodies. We carry their sauerkraut, marinara sauce, smoky salsa, jams and jellies, though they sell out fast! Learn more about the ladies of Red Top Oven in this article or on their Facebook page.

Join Weekly Harvest, Our Year-Round CSA
We make it easy to eat local! Join our Weekly Harvest CSA and get a hand-selected box of local produce and goods every week. Each share features a local, pasture-raised meat or vegetarian alternative, local and organic produce, free-range eggs every other week, and a monthly rotation of coffee/tea, local grains, and local dairy.

Don't know how to cook with kohlrabi? Hate the idea of food going to waste? Don't worry, we send out a weekly newsletter with recipes and storage tips to help you strategize and plan your meals.  We also offer a 10% discount on additional groceries when you pick up your share (excluding alcohol).

Choose your options: omnivore or vegetarian, coffee or tea, weekly or biweekly pick ups, and your pick up day: after 2 PM Friday, any time Sunday, any time Monday, or Monday delivery (for an additional $5, to a limited area).
