4-H Youth Development

Camp Mesowannago Day Camp, held at Currituck County Extension Center, is the perfect place for your child's summer fun. 4-H summer day camp provides a safe and fun environment where your child can learn and grow. Youth, ages 5 (must have completed kindergarten) to 12, participate in age appropriate and learning centered activities that encourage new discoveries, new skills, leadership, independence, and friendship. 

Agriculture


This Spring, long time Agriculture Agent for Currituck County, Tommy Grandy retired after 24 years of service to our farmers and community. The search for his replacement began immediately. In the interim, duties were assumed by Cameron Lowe, County Extension Director; Sarah Watts, Currituck Agriculture Technician; and Austin Brown, Camden County Extension Agriculture Agent. Applications are currently under review for this position with interviews to be conducted in the near future.

Are you looking for a way to make eating healthy a priority while still keeping up with your busy lifestyle? N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center is holding a Meal Prep Boot Camp from  9am to 12pm  on  Saturday, August 12th  at the Currituck Extension Center. This camp is designed to  help you kick off your meal prep success with hands-on instruction of meal planning and preparation.
