New Resources for Family Planning Program (FPP):
The New Family Planning Program (FPP) Starts July 1, 2017.
The Family Planning Program (FPP) is for men and women who are 12-54 years of age. The FPP helps with the cost of family planning related services. The FPP is a state-funded DHS program which replaces the Iowa Family Planning Network (IFPN) program. Eligibility and covered benefits do not change. The location where you receive services may change. Beginning July 1, 2017, current, eligible IFPN members will transition to the FPP.

The provider search tool  will take you to the Iowa Medicaid Enterprise (IME) Provider Search Portal. Select 'FPP Approved Provider' in the 'Type' dropdown. 

You can change the 'Specialty,' 'County' or 'Metro' to expand or narrow your search. Check back as providers are being added every day.

Beginning July 1, 2017, the current Iowa Family Planning Network (IFPN) waiver will end. Current, eligible members will transition to the FPP.

Verify Eligibility
The Eligibility and Verification Information System (ELVS) line is very busy during the first of the month. The ELVS web portal  is another option for providers in lieu of calling the ELVS line but each provider must enroll through the Electronic Data Interchange Support Services (EDISS). The ELVS web portal allows for multiple eligibility checks and batch submission, where as the ELVS phone system only allows for one at a time.

Login ID and password may be obtained through EDISS by submitting the following Access Request Form to EDISS or calling EDISS at 1-800-967-7902.

Informational letters are posted through the Iowa Medicaid Portal Application (IMPA) system and are available on the DHS website  here .  These letters communicate important policies and procedures for providers and their administrative staff.
