Berthoud Local Farmers Market turns 4!
Our 4th season starts on June 24th, in concert with the Hops and Harley festival in Fickel Park!  Come out to welcome back our great vendors, get to know some new ones, and enjoy extended vendor hours from 9:00 - 4:00.
HUGE NEWS!! We now accept SNAP EBT Cards and  Double Up Food Bucks at the Farmers Market!

We now accept SNAP EBT Cards at the market, and we are ALSO excited to be one of only 90 locations in Colorado to be able to offer Double Up Food Bucks!  The Double Up Food Bucks is a Colorado program which can double the amount of fresh fruit and vegetables available to these customers.

We are very excited to be able to offer both of these programs, which helps families in need have access to good nutrition, helps support our local farmers, and brings our market into the next level of community involvement.

New Board Members

Congratulations to our new board members!  In April, Kristin Ramey, Adele Work and Jodi Riggins were newly elected, and Mackenzie Daley was re-elected.  They join continuing board members Vickie McLane, Monica Signer, David Signer, and Mike Costazo.  We are always looking for interested persons to help out on the board, or on one of our projects.

Volunteers
  • Farmers Market booth volunteers: 6/24 - 9/30  We are looking for people to help setup and man the booth at the farmers market, Saturdays 7:30- 1:30.  Let us know if there is a date or several you'd like to come!

  • Our Garden Wine & Food Pairing: 8/12  Our committee is charged with coming up with the menu, sourcing the ingredients, and preparing / plating the foods the night of the event.  We need both pre-event help as well as day-of kitchen help.

  • The Farm Stand Band Festival: 9/30  The second annual tradition happens on the last day of the farmers market, and will include fun shenanigans like we did last year with creating vegetable based musical instruments.  Planning volunteers and day-of volunteers needed.
Community Garden

The Community garden is growing strong
, with our new raised beds, straw bale beds, and in-ground beds.  Weekly maintenance is underway TWICE each week, Mondays about 6:30 pm - dark, and Thursday 8:30 - 10:30 am .  Anyone is welcome to join in - the harvest is shared among the volunteers as well as a generous share is donated to the House of Neighborly Service.
