Explore Your City on Two Wheels
Community Rides for All Cyclists
Calling all Brampton residents - warm, sunny days are here.  Get your helmet and explore your city on two wheels.

The City is offering a series of free community rides from May to September. Led by volunteer members of the Brampton Cycling Advisory Committee (BCAC), these group rides provide residents and visitors an opportunity to explore Brampton on their bicycles, meet other cyclists and enjoy a free refreshment.

Residents can choose either a 5 km or 15 km route, depending on their comfort levels. All cyclists are welcome, whether you live in Brampton or are visiting. It's a great opportunity to learn about the benefits of cycling and what the cityscape has to offer cyclists.

Last year, 281 people participated in 12 guided rides. How did the riders do? A total distance of 3,030 km was traveled along city roads and parkland trails, which adds up to 1,969,500 calories burned. Talk about a workout!

So sign up here for the 2017 Community Rides, discover your city and get fit!  [more...]
