Save our Post Office, Juneteenth Festival, & more!
The first month of Summer is filled with great events that build healthy communities. These events highlight the efforts of many local partners to save community assets, celebrate diversity, and promote healthy living and the humane treatment of our furry friends. 

WHAT: Save Richmond Post Office Town Hall Meeting

WHEN: Thursday, June 15, 6pm to 8pm

WHERE: Nevin Community Center, 598 Nevin Ave. in Richmond

MORE: Come out, learn about the US Postal Service plan to close our post office, submit comments, sign the petition, get active.



WHAT: Annual West Contra Costa Juneteenth Family Day Parade and Festival
WHEN: Saturday, June 17, 9am to 3pm

WHERE: Gather for parade at 9am at Harbour Way and Cutting Blvd. Festival follows at Nicholl Park at Macdonald Ave. and 31st Street in Richmond

MORE: One of the grandest Juneteenth Celebrations anywhere in the United States




WHAT: Ribbon Cutting event for the re-opening of Fix Our Ferals, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing spay-neuter services for all cats in the East Bay

WHEN: Saturday, June 17, noon to 2pm, program at 12:30 pm 

WHERE:  12226 San Pablo Ave. (off Nevin Ave.) in Richmond
 
MORE:  The spay-neuter center is open four days a week - Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. The center is open to all individuals, animal welfare organizations, and public agencies interested in spaying or neutering animals at a reduced rate.



WHAT: Richmond Main Street presents: 8th Annual Healthy Village Festival

WHEN:  Saturday, June 24, 10am to 1pm

WHERE:  Community Green Space at  Harbour Way & Macdonald Avenue, Downtown Richmond
 
MORE: A Super Fun Free Family Event all about Health & Wellness!
