"Indeed, We sent the Qur'an down during the Night of Decree. And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree? The Night of Decree is better than a thousand month. The angels and the Spirit descent therein by permission of their Lord for every matter. Peace it it until the emergence of dawn"  ~ Qur'an 97:1-5

BLESSINGS OF THE LAST 10 DAYS

As we enter the last ten days of the month of Ramadan, we invite you to continue your support and encourage you to think of Shura Council and its many programs.

Don't miss out on the blessings of this month in these last ten days. Please support one or more of our programs below:
  • Muslim Speakers Network (MSN): Since July 2016, MSN has held trainings to certify community members as MSN speakers who have given informative presentations on Islam to more than 4000 students at 32 different schools.
  • Young Inspirers (YI) Fellowship Program: The YI Fellowship Program provides an opportunity for young Muslim professionals to develop and strengthen their professional skill set in the areas of nonprofit organizations, masjid leadership, and in contributing to their communities. The following topics are set to be covered: conflict resolution, marketing, board development, strategic planning, legal issues, budget management, and more.
  • Prison Outreach Program (POP): Our first program, POP has doubled its service reach from 2016. This means even more Muslim inmates have benefited from your generous contributions and with 50 shahada so far this year we hope to grow this number further with your support.
Or consider the following options for your Ramadan giving.
  • One-time donation of $1,000 or $500 for general operations
  • Monthly contribution of any size through automatic deduction, through your credit card or bank account.
  • Sponsor a presentation on Islam in a Public School ($200)
  • Sponsor a care package ($250) for a recently released new Muslim (Each package includes: a Quran, books on Islam, gift card for essential needs such as clothes, shoes, hygiene kit, bus/rail pass, etc.)
  • Donate your highly-appreciated stocks or other assets to Shura Council. Through this donation (1) you are not required to pay capital gains tax on the appreciated stock value, and (2) you are allowed to take a tax deduction on the appreciated value of the stocks.
As a community funded organization, we assure you that we maximize and utilize every donation we receive in serving and benefiting our local community.
