One Story House Workshop, Thursday, July 6, 10:00-11:00 am
(Entering grades 1 and up) Build a model of a scene from a favorite 
book. Sign-up required.    
 
DIY Metal Washer Necklace, Tuesday, July 11, 2:00-4:00 pm
(Family Craft)
 
Scavenger Hunt, Wednesday, July 12, 9:00-8:30 pm (Family Event) Work in teams to find landmarks in Dover. Fastest team in three categories will win a prize.      
 
Royal Tea, Thursday, July 13, 2:00-3:00 pm (Family Event)
Dancers from the Northeast Ballet Theatre will portray Elsa, Belle and other princesses. Kids will be invited to dance and have tea and cookies.
 
Hampstead Stage Company, Friday, July 14, 2:00-3:00 pm     (Recommended for ages 5 and up.) See the live version of Beauty and the Beast performed by professional actors.
 
Lawn Games, Monday, July 17, 3:00-7:00 pm (Family Event)  
Join us for lawn games at the library and the McConnell Center.
 
Cocheco Valley Humane Society, Thursday, July 20, 11:00-12:00 pm (Family Event) Learn the ABCs of Pets and Their Care. Meet one of their animals for adoption.
  
Children's Museum of NH, Monday, July 24, 6:30-7:30 (Designed for ages 5-11) Join us for a trip down the river as we investigate some of nature's best architects and engineers.
      
DPL at the Farmer's Market, Wednesday, July 26, 2:15-6:00 pm (Family Event) Visit our branch library at the market.
 
MarioKart Tournament, Wednesday, July 26, 6:00-7:30 pm
Pizza and refreshments. Ages 10 and up. Sign-up required.
 
Create with Cardboard and Newspaper, Thursday, July 27, 2:00-4:00 pm (Family Craft)
 
Harry Potter Party, Saturday, July 29, 9:00 am-1:00 pm (Family Event) Celebrate Harry Potter's birthday with lots of Hogwarts fun. Food, crafts, games, and prizes.
     

Lego Saturdays

Summer Saturdays are Lego Saturdays! (July 1,8,15, 22, and 29) Use our LEGOs from 9:00 am -1:00 pm to build and create. Meet new friends and share your ideas.
 

Tinker Tuesdays

On Tuesday (July 11, 18, 25) from 2:00-3:00 pm , kids in grades 3 and up are invited to explore and create with fun technology. All materials will be provided.

Drop-In Family Storytime 

On Wednesday July 5, 12, 19* , and 26 we will offer a family storytime at 10:00 am Children with their caregivers will enjoy stories, songs, fingerplays, puppets, and games. * The July 19 session will be at the Henry Law Playground.
 


Mother Goose on the Loose
 
On Friday mornings from 10:00-10:30 am ( July 7, 14, 21, and 28) we will offer Mother Goose on the Loose. This is a joyful early literacy program specially designed for infants-2 year olds with a caregiver.
 

Creation Station 
 
Each week of the summer reading program, there will be a building-themed craft at the creation station to make and take.
