We're welcoming new year-round nonstop transatlantic service on WOW Air to Pittsburgh in a big way this week.
 
On Thursday from 10AM to 2PM, we'll be in Market Square with the WOW flight crew passing out scratch off tickets with discounts on flights, as well as signing up travelers to win passes to our new common use airport lounge open to ALL travelers.
 
We're also planning a huge celebration in Baggage Claim featuring the River City Brass Band and Pittsburgh Ballet for passengers and dignitaries on the first flight arriving from Reykjavik Friday evening.
  
Common Use Lounge, Duty Free Shop Now Open at Pittsburgh International
 
In anticipation of new international service as well as additional domestic travelers this summer, Pittsburgh International Airport has opened a new common use lounge and Duty Free/Duty Paid shopping area.

The Club Lounge, operated by Airport Lounge Development of Dallas, Texas, will be open to all travelers regardless of which airline they are flying or if they are traveling for business or leisure.

Travelers may purchase day passes online or at the lounge for $40. No membership is required. The Club will be open from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Mondays, and 4 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.

Airport Hosting JazzLive International Festival Preview Concerts

Pittsburgh International Airport will serve as a jazz club for pop-up concerts in the month of June leading up to the Pittsburgh JazzLive International Festival (PJLIF) presented by Citizens Bank, June 16-18, 2017 in Downtown's Cultural District.
 
The airport performance schedule is as follows:
  • June 14 Pianist CLIFFORD BARNES
  • June 15 Brazilian vocalist KENIA
All airport performances are open to the public and take place in Baggage Claim, Landside Terminal, from 4-7PM.

Parking is free for 1 hour in Extended Parking and $2 for the second hour. After two hours, the normal rate of $8 per day goes into effect. Parking is also available in Long Term for $3 per hour, and in Short Term for $1 for the first hour and $4.00 for each additional hour.

  
Registration for Airport 5k Races
(PIT and AGC) Now Open
 
We are excited to announce that again in 2017, we will welcome runners and walkers to Pittsburgh International and Allegheny County Airport for 5K races on the airfield and, for the first time, on the runway at PIT!

In partnership with P3R, the PIT 5K will be conducted September 30 at 10 a.m. The AGC 5K will be conducted November 18 at 10 a.m. in West Mifflin.

We are seeking volunteers, sponsors and participants for both races, and more details will be released in coming weeks.

Both these races have been very popular with the community, and we hope to see a great turnout once again this year. Proceeds benefit the Allegheny County Airport Authority Charitable Foundation.
