2017 LivingStone University Graduates

Last Saturday was a big day for seven of our God Cares High School alumni who graduated from LivingStone International University in Uganda after five years of intense studies. We are very proud of these students, many of whom have been with God Cares Schools since its beginnings, and have shined all the way through. We applaud them for their efforts and achievements.

Our congratulations goes to: John Khaukha, Ismail Mutawe, Juda Kisakye, Deborah Nassanga, Joyce Namuyomba, Jemimah Nakachwa, and Brenda Nakinrijja. We are so proud of all of you!

Each of the seven students above have been supported by at least 3 sponsors and as many as 5 sponsors! We are thankful for each faithful sponsor, and pray that God would bless them for giving. If you are one of these committed sponsors, please keep an eye out in the mail for graduation pictures we will be sending you to commemorate your student's achievement.

Do you have a heart for University students? We have a dozen university students without sponsors. Some are in their first year and some in their last; you can not only sponsor them today, but you have the opportunity to speak into their lives through emails and letter writing.

The seven graduates joined God Cares School and the Buyamba program at different times, however, all of them completed their high school education at God Cares high school alongside each other. This milestone goes down as a "Buyamba first" and it is the outcome that our vision seeks to fulfill ... to empower the orphaned and needy children of Uganda to impact their nation for Christ.

Soccer Balls - Follow up

As we shared in a previous email in March of this year, a little guy named Charles visited the Buyamba Office. Remember him? He raised funds for some "indestructible" soccer balls for students at God Cares Primary. The soccer balls were carried to Uganda by the Calvary Community High School team, and now the up and coming soccer stars of God Cares can practice their skills without having to worry about popping the ball!

Don't let the first picture of them smiling fool you, they're serious about soccer and are awaiting the big soccer clinic coming to them this July with the Buyamba Mission team.

Creative giving is for all ages and really has no limitations. Charles, an eight year old, took it upon himself to share his love for soccer with the kids in Uganda and he didn't let anything stop him! Thanks Charles for being an example for us all.

The Bethuel Dongo Asssembly Hall

The Bethuel Dongo Assembly Hall has come a long way since we first started in 2015. The assembly hall is a massive building that will be able to hold all of the high school students for national testing and for weekly chapels.

We have shown many pictures of the outside, but here is a look inside the main floor of the building.

The construction team is working on plastering the inside walls, something that our teams visiting this summer might be able to help with. We want to finish this great project in 2017, and we need your help! Any donation makes a difference. This building exists because of our faithful Buyamba givers, and is a joint effort of churches and individual donors. We appreciate all who have been building together these past two years.
Sponsor A Child

Benjamin

Benjamin is 13 years old, and he is in Primary 7 (equivalent to 6th grade). His family needs help supporting his school fees at God Cares School.

Your gift of $35 a month will give Benjamin the blessing of consistent meals, love and safety.

Bible Camp
Every year we have had the great opportunity to hold a Bible Camp for our students and children in the community. For some, this is the first time they will sleep in a bed, receive three meals a day and hear the good news of Jesus Christ!

Watch last year's video ... over 100 children dedicated their lives.

It's only $35 to send a child to camp.
