Why Did Marc Moreno Die?

After repeated attempts to seek help for his ongoing mental health issues, Marc Moreno was continually turned away and eventually handed over to the police for minor motor vehicle violations. Days later he was dead. Rooted in Rights presents this short video documentary titled, "Why Did Marc Moreno Die?"
The Price of Disability Denial

In this article, Catherine Kudlick talks about her experience with "disability denial." When faced with discrimination due to her disability, she describes it as a painful revelation where her mind and body fused into one ugly knot of humiliation, anger, fear and doubt. "I was at a crossroads: I could suck it up and carry on as before or I could fight back."
Everything, Everything . . . Not So Much

In June, our Lunchtime Book Club reviewed the book (and now movie) "Everything, Everything" which has generated a lot of frustration and anger from the disability community. In this video, disability rights vlogger, Annie Elainey, talks about the story-line, describing it as "inspiration porn with no intentions of being authentic to our narratives."
