Our camp program started last week and despite a little rain, all is going well.
CROS Camp is a nine-week summer day camp promoting school readiness, ensuring proper nutrition, and guaranteeing a safe nurturing place for campers to call "home" during the day.
"Working at CROS opened up Sharonda's eyes to how poverty can affect people in different ways and how important programs like CROS Summer camp can be for struggling families. "I am proud to say that I have helped benefit the community by working with CROS Ministries."
Campers receive lunch, and snacks daily from Palm Bea
ch County's Summer BreakSpot program and breakfast as needed.
They also get backpacks every Friday filled with food through our community partner, Palm Beach CountyFood Bank's, Food4Summer program. Our Camp activities include: academics, laying the foundation of Christian principles through Chapel and Bible studies, on site or off-site field trips, music, sports, arts and crafts.
