Travel to Israel with TI
Israel is calling you to "Study, Hike, Eat...Repeat!"
Join a 10 day Israel trip of a lifetime and March 1-11, 2018!
Imagine walking through the streets of Jerusalem, using the writings of Jerusalem's poets and authors, such as Yehuda Amichai or S.Y. Agnon to guide our perspectives. Imagine studying about Isaiah, Jeremiah and Heschel as a prism to Social Justice and a Vision for a Redeemed Society with Israel as the backdrop. Imagine eating culinary delights every day at interesting restaurants and markets. Imagine waking up and getting to do it again the next day.

You don't need to imagine. You just need to sign up for this magical adventure in Israel!  Check out the tour details here. Led by Rabbi Elaine Zecher and Chairs Marc Maxwell, Carol Michael, and Mitchell Shames. We are excited to share Israel together. Questions? Please contact Melissa Carp

Honoring Your Loved Ones
Honor the memory of a loved one by dedicating a memorial plaque in his or her memory. The Alice G. Winn Memorial Menorah is located along the rear wall of the Sanctuary, and these memorial plaques are made from glass and hung once a year during the summer. The Harry N. and Estelle S. Gorin Memorial Alcove surrounds one of the entrance doors to the Sanctuary, and these plaques are made from bronze and can be hung all year round.

Once a plaque is ordered, Temple Israel will perpetually read the name of the deceased during Shabbat services on the anniversary of death. Family members will receive notification of this date in advance of the yahrzeit. All names on plaques are included in the annual Yom Kippur Book of Remembrance distributed to the congregation on Yom Kippur. A contribution of $650 to the Temple Israel Endowment Fund will secure a plaque in either the Alcove or on the Menorah. Please contact Sue Misselbeck for more information.
