July 

For those of you reading through the New Testament with us this year, we hope that you are finding this journey as rewarding as we are.  Everyday get excited to see what God will show and bring to your life in His Word.  On Monday, July 3rd, we will be on Romans chapter 14.  If you haven't started yet, just jump right in and join us.  We do five chapters a week, Monday through Friday.  If you haven't involved your children, we encourage you to do so.  You can even set up a journal and keep an account of what God is revealing to you as you make your way through the scriptures.  If you happen to get lost or don't know where to start, each week we post in our congregational notes that we hand out on Sunday morning a list of chapters to read for the week. 

We will continue walking through he New Testament book of

1st Peter through the month of July during our Sunday Morning Gatherings.

As we look back over the last year, it is time to recognize the dedicated volunteers of HCC. It is because of your commitment to partner with us, giving of yourself, that we are able to advance the Kingdom of God.  That is why we are so excited about this evening. This will take place at the Colony Cottage Regional Recreation Center located at 510 Colony Blvd, The Villages, FL.  It will be a time of joyful celebration as we pause to share a meal together, fellowship with one another and hear words of encouragement and inspiration from our special guest, Dr. Steve Petit.   Please feel free to bring your spouse with you so we can show our appreciation for their support of your volunteer efforts.   To register click here .

Heritage Family-

We are excited to share that our church has access to an extensive, new video library called RightNow Media! It's like the "Netflix of Video Bible Studies" and has a HUGE library of faith-based videos that you can access whenever and wherever you want-on your phone, iPad, computer, or at home on your TV.

As a church staff, we're always looking for ways to help you develop and strengthen your faith. We believe that RightNow Media will be a tool to serve you as you live out your faith at home, at work and in your neighborhood. RightNow Media has videos for everyone-kids, youth, parents, married couples, college students, single adults, working professionals-all aimed at helping you grow.

You should have already received an official invitation email to give you FREE access to RightNow Media. If you haven't received it yet, check your mail filter (because it came from RightNow's system, it may have gotten caught there). 

Once you find the email, simply click the link, sign up for an account, and you're all set to explore more than 12,000 videos. We pray that RightNow Media will be a blessing for you and your family!

Beyond the Walls Pantry is in immediate need of donations to be able to continue to serve our neighbors. The following items are some of the most needed items.

Hygiene Products (soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, razors, etc.)

Tomato Sauce

Spaghetti Sauce

Pasta
Canned Soup
Canned Vegtables (no green beans or corn at this time please)

Items can be dropped off at Beyond the Walls Food bank on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursdays from 10am-12pm. The can also be left in the foyer of our church house.

Labor Day Weekend at The Omni

Summertime is here and things are definitely heating up. 

This month, the highlight will be Fuge. We are taking 54 students to camp at North Greenville University in Greenville, SC. Please be in prayer that God move in a mighty way during this trip and that our students desire a closer relationship with Him. 

We will also have two outings where our upcoming 6th graders are invited to join us to get a taste of the NextGen life. On Wednesday, July 12th, we will be doing our annual tubing trip down the Ichetucknee. On Friday, July 28th, we will be heading to Bob's River Place on the Suwanee. We are in need of chaperones for both events so if you are able, please let me know. 

As soon as summer appeared, it will be gone just as quick so we are gearing up to start a new school year in August. Our welcome to NextGen party for incoming 6th graders takes place on Sunday, August 6th and we will resume normal Wednesday night activities on Wednesday, August 16th. If you feel are feeling led or called to work with our students in any capacity, please contact me. We have some phenomenal young people and you will receive the blessing.

Since summer is in full swing, July looks a little different in the Treehouse!   

Our preschoolers will still be learning about God and His Son, Jesus, in their same environments with some amazing volunteers who are so generously allowing our small group leaders to step aside for a month to spend time with their families.  Thank you, volunteers!!!  All twenty six of you!!!    The volunteers will continue loving on our young ones and telling them about God and His Son, Jesus.   This month our kids will hear about more young people that God used in mighty ways - Daniel, Miriam, Josiah, and Timothy.  

The Hideout Kids, or those in elementary school,  have the awesome opportunity to join their families in the Worship Center and experience "big church"!   At Heritage it has been such a sweet and significant time not just for our families but for ALL of us to worship and learn together every July.  We see each year how God blesses it.    It is our hope and prayer that the worship bags provided will help your child engage in the morning while giving each of you the resources to engage in deepening conversations all week long.  

All kids, preschool and elementary, will be in the same environments in July that they have been in all year.  

Promotion Day is Sunday, August 6th. Preschool small group lists will be posted outside each preschool environment. All elementary kiddos will move to their grade level in the 2017-2018 school year. 

At this writing,  26 campers, 7 adults and 5 student interns are still anticipating Camp Kidjam 2017.  We have no doubt it will be a significant faith building time for all of us.  Your prayers and support have meant so much to us!!

Our small group leaders are the Children's Ministry at Heritage, and there are not enough words to thank them for their faithfulness, servant hearts, and dedication to the discipling of our kids at Heritage.  Help me pray that they have a refreshing and blessed time with their families in July.
