The Academy's Comprehensive Eye Care Section invites participation in this year's Ocular Photography Contest. The contest will close at midnight CST on July 15, with the winners being announced by August 15, 2017. The grand prize winner from each category will receive complimentary registration to Academy 2017 Chicago, will have the image published in Optometry and Vision Science, and displayed in a photo tower at the annual meeting. The American Academy of Optometry Foundation in conjunction with Johnson & Johnson Vision, is pleased to announce the 2017 Award of Excellence in Contact Lens Patient Care recipients. The award recognizes outstanding fourth-year student clinicians who have demonstrated excellent overall knowledge of the contact lens field and professional care of contact lens patient during their optometric education.

Maintenance of Fellowship
Any Fellow inducted on or after November 2010 must meet the Maintenance of Fellowship (MOF) requirements by obtaining 15 points during every 10 year period. Points can be earned in a variety of ways including attending the Academy's annual meeting (3 points) or attending CE at the Academy's meeting (1 point/2 hours of CE).
