FROM THE PRESIDENT
Summer is officially upon us and renovation season is in high gear. As I write this, today is Summer Solstice the official beginning of summer and the longest day of the year. More time and attention for our clients! I reflect on how blessed we have been to have such beautiful weather in New York over the last few weeks. We deserve this after the long slog of cold weather. Today is another comfortable and Summer-y day! Keep them coming, Mother Nature.
Next month is our highly anticipated Summer Social on July 19th! We can't wait to celebrate with all of you as we mix, mingle, dine and laugh. The theme of this year's party will beTreasure Island, co-hosted by Hafele America and Toto. Both showrooms have a fabulous presence in Flatiron and we know that you will enjoy them along with the festivities we have in store. Come out in your summer best and get the party started. Hope to see you there!

As you are working and enjoying the summer, be open to opportunities to learn more about the industries that supply the world of design. You might be able to visit a stone yard or quarry and some factories and cabinet companies do offer tours.
Learning about the
world that creates the materials in the world of design can help
you be more
effective in your designing and in your talking about and selling your
interactions with customers. Our Manhattan Chapter meetings always include vendor
training that takes place at our vendor showroom, networking and fun!
