June is bustin' out all over...!
And hopefully, your garden is too with flowers and edibles.

Now's the perfect time to plant their ingredients, including tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, eggplant, basil and many more warm-weather delicious edibles.

Did you know that more than 60 Master Gardeners consult to school gardens around the county? For example, the pre-K class of deaf and hearing-impaired students at Whitman Elementary are growing (and eating) berries, lettuce, squash, grapes and more! And a Miramar Ranch Elementary class of 2nd graders just completed a two-week photosynthesis experiment using tomato plants.

Aphids, the small, soft-bodied insects that suck out plant fluids, are prevalent now.

The leaves on my squash and pumpkins are covered with mildew - is this because I watered the leaves?
What can I do to protect my plants?
